I want you to turn with me, if you will, to Luke’s gospel. Mrs. Onassis said just before she died, she was talking to one of her friends and she said, you know, I would like to live it all over again. And I thought to myself, is it possible to start all over again?
I’ve heard and I’ve read that this is the first time we ever held meetings in northern New Jersey. That is not true. But you’re not old enough to remember when I was last here, I think it was nineteen forty four or forty five. I was here for a week at one of the Bible churches. I think it was in Hawthorne that we were here. I don’t think that. Then she might have been with me, but I don’t think so.
This is a clergyman. You can imagine how out of place I feel, I feel like a fish out of water or maybe an owl out of the air. I was preaching in San Jose some time ago and my friend Mark Quami.
